Oh hey Nikki exists!
I've let my art slide a little. I've let my uploading of my art slide more. The past 6 months or so, I've been trying to get back in touch with my creative side. I am hoping that remembering that this site exists and disciplining myself to upload pictures of my art on a regular basis will motivate me to keep it up. *crosses fingers* So, if all goes well, you will actually be seeing updates from me. Huzzah!

Hello world! My name is Nikki. I will be 23 in one month (hooray for me!), and I am currently living in Boston and working at a daycare center and acting. I enjoy many things. My most important interests are in my bio below. I have recently taken up SoulCollage and am really excited about it, so I will probably be posting a lot of SoulCollage cards here. My dream is to be an expressive arts therapist, early intervention social worker, preschool teacher, special needs advocate/activist, and/or work at a non-profit or after-school program involving the arts and kids. Maybe I will do a lot of different things in my life, maybe even join the Peace Corps and work with orphan children in Ecuador. That would be amasing. I am a free spirit, as you might have gathered.  My tastes and style of visual art can be best described as eclectic. I will make anything out of anything. Although sometimes I like my drawings or paintings or photography to stand alone, I also rather enjoy gathering up bits and pieces of different types of mediums and put them all together in a single sculpture or collage. Fabric, glitter, leaves, paint, charcoal, cardstock, magazine clippings, clay, shoelaces, pompoms, you name it. I am a scavenger-crafter. To me, art is a way of processing my emotions and life, relaxing, having fun, communicating in a visual way, showing my friends and loved ones that I care through hand-made gifts, and exploring my spirituality.
